A team, not a hobbyist with a drone

Drone360 Imagery Ltd. has operated out of Edmonton since 2016. Alberta work is flown by our own certified pilots, and programs spanning several provinces or several sites at once are planned in house and delivered through a coordinated network of certified operators working to our capture specification.

Every operator who flies a Drone360 job holds Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certification, which is what permits flight in controlled airspace, near people and near aerodromes. That is the certification most of this market does not carry, and it is the reason we can take work on sites others have to decline.

What we have flown

Corridor pavement measurement on both the Edmonton and Calgary ring roads. Pit terrain capture for environmental engineering clients at 0.01 m RMSE. Pre dawn landfill thermal detection. Roughly 150,000 solar panels screened in a single operating day. A 324 acre construction site mapped weekly for two to three years. Wind turbine blades captured at standoff down to 8 metres, and flare stacks inspected while in service. Water ingress found on the tallest tower in Canada outside Toronto, flown from its roof downward.

More than 126 missions have been delivered for a single platform client alone. We also build our own operational tooling, including a turbine blade waypoint planner and flight simulation tool used on live client work.

How we are set up

Subcontracted operators work under the Drone360 services agreement, which enforces minimums of $2 million commercial general liability and $1 million RPAS liability before anyone is dispatched. You hold one contract, deal with one point of contact and receive one invoice, regardless of how many sites or provinces a program covers.

How we work

• We fly lidar, photogrammetry, thermal and multispectral, and scope the sensor to the deliverable you need rather than to the biggest invoice.
• Every capture is reported against the accuracy it was quoted at, so you receive a measured figure rather than a claim.
• Programs run to a written flight plan agreed before mobilisation, which keeps a multi site campaign on schedule and on specification.
• Quotes state the positioning method, the deliverables and the delivery window as one project value.

Working with us

Certificates of insurance, WCB clearance letters and vendor qualification packages are issued the same day they are requested. Most quotes come back within one business day, and most captures are delivered within three to five business days of the flight.
